In this delightful breakfast recipe, creamy porridge oats are cooked to perfection and sweetened with a hint of golden syrup. A dollop of creme fraiche adds a touch of richness, while juicy blueberries bring a burst of freshness to every bite. This indulgent bowl is the perfect way to start your day on a sweet note.

Ingredients

  • 40g porridge oats
  • 200ml milk-( try soya milk which is lovely as it tastes sweeter and more creamy)
  • tsp golden syrup
  • Handful of blueberries
  • dollop of creme fraiche

Instructions

  • Make the porridge by gently heating the milk and oats together in a saucepan. Keep stirring until thickened to the desirable consistency (I say the thicker the better!)
  • Place a teaspoon or so of golden syrup into the bottom of your serving bowl. When the porridge is ready tip this on top-that way you get a surprise of a melted molten pool of golden syrup at the bottom, delish!
  • Place a dollop of creme fraiche on top before scattering over the blueberries.
  • Dig in and enjoy!
