Spiced Hot Toddy
This warm and fragrant apple-ginger hot toddy is a cozy and soothing drink perfect for cool evenings. Ingredients
- 3/4 cup apple juice
- 1/2 tsp. honey
- 1/4-inch piece fresh ginger
- 1 star anise pod
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 tsp. toasted sesame oil
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the apple juice, honey, ginger and star anise. Bring to a simmer and stir to combine. Remove from the heat. Add the brandy and squeeze in the juice from the lemon half.
- Strain the apple juice mixture into a heatproof mug, reserving the star anise. Garnish with the star anise and drizzle the sesame oil on top. Serve immediately. Serves 1.
