Spiced Fruit Loaf

Ingredients
- 250g (9oz) sultanas
- 250g (9oz) currants
- 250g (9oz) caster sugar
- 375ml (13fl oz) cold tea
- 1 free-range egg
- 500g (1lb 2oz) self-raising flour
- 1tsp mixed spice
- 1tsp grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Soak fruit in 375ml of cold tea overnight with the added sugar
- Add one egg, flour, spices and mix and pour into a 2lb loaf tin
- Bake at 180 Dec C for 1 and 1/4 hours or until a metal skewer comes out clean
- Cool and eat, really nice toasted in a morning with butter on
