Ingredients
- 2 cups of semolina
- 1 cup of cooking oil
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup natural yoghurt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Syrup
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- tablespoon lemon juice
- vanilla pod
- Almonds to decorate
Instructions
- beat together the oil and sugar and add the eggs
- Sift in the bicarbonate of soda and baking powder add the semolina and yoghurt
- Cook in a moderate oven for 30 minutes
- For the syrup put the water, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla pod in a pan and boil for 10 minutes
- When the cake has cooled add the almonds and cut into diagonals and add the hot syrup.
