This recipe creates delightful sultana brandy buns, featuring a rich blend of butter, sugars, and aromatic vanilla. Ingredients

  • 125g butter
  • 100g Brown sugar
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g sultanas
  • 2 tbs brandy
  • 225g self raising flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to gas mark 4 (180°)
  • Mix & cream butter, caster & Brown sugar, until a smooth paste
  • Once smooth mix then add the lightly beaten egg and vanilla extract
  • In stages adds the flour and salt until smooth, then add sultanas & brandy mix together until absorbed
  • Then pop the mixture into bun cases, put into oven for around 15 minutes then leave to cool. The buns should be gooey and crispy on the outside
