Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • olive oil
  • 200g can of tuna in oil
  • 400g can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 sundried tomatoes, chopped
  • handful of pitted green olives, chopped
  • large handful of capers
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  • Fry the onion and garlic in olive oil until the onion is soft. Drain the tuna, flake it with a fork and add it to the onion.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, stir well, bring to the boil and simmer for at least 20 minutes. Do not add any salt as the sundried tomatoes and capers are naturally salty.
