Its A Pattie Pie

Ingredients
- For the pastry:
- 250g Plain flour
- 100g Butter
- 5 Tbsp water
- (you will need this again for the top layer)
- For the filling:
- 500g Mince
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- Tikka Masala spice
- Chilli Powder
- Gravy Granules
- Red Sauce
- You will also need a 18cm dish
- Grease dish before you start
- Preheat the oven to 170C/fan 150C/gas 5
Instructions
- To make the pastry: add flour and butter and mix into breadcrumbs. Add water and mix (you may need to add more water)
- Roll out dough to about 2/3 cm deep - Put the pastry into the dish
- Now repeat all this again to make the top layer and leave the top layer to one side as we are now going to make the filling.
- To make the filling: Put some oil into your pan, chop onions and garlic and place these into the pan stir for 5 mins (or until onions go golden)
- Place mince into pan and stir until mince goes brown - add salt and pepper
- Cover mince with a thin layer of the tikka masala spice - stir - Sprinkle a layer of chilli powder over mince - stir - Add some red sauce - stir
- Place filling into tin and cover with the top layer - piece two little holes in the middle
- Cook for 20 mins
- Once cooked leave to cool down for about 10 mins
- Fill belly, be happy
