Honey & Cardamom Frozen Yogurt
This creamy and fragrant frozen yogurt is a delightful treat that combines the exotic flavors of cardamom with the sweetness of honey and vanilla. With a touch of lemon juice for brightness, this homemade frozen yogurt is perfect for cooling off on a warm day or a sweet ending to any meal.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup whole or low-fat milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. coarsely chopped cardamom pods
- 3 1/2 cups plain whole-milk yogurt
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 Tbs. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sugar and cardamom pods, and stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil. Cover and let stand at room temperature until cool, about 30 minutes. Strain into a large bowl, discarding the cardamom pods.
- Whisk the yogurt, honey, vanilla and lemon juice into the milk mixture. Transfer to an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Serve immediately, or transfer the frozen yogurt to an airtight container, cover and freeze until firm, about 4 hours. Makes about 1 quart.
