Ginger 'juice'
A soothing and aromatic ginger tea recipe that will warm you from the inside out. Fresh root ginger and rock sugar come together to create a comforting drink perfect for chilly days or when you need a little pick-me-up.

Ingredients
- 500ml/17fl oz boiling water
- 2cm/1in piece fresh root ginger
- 3cm/1½in cube rock sugar or 2-3 tbsp soft brown sugar
Instructions
- Heat the water in a small saucepan and add the ginger pieces. Bring to the boil, add the rock sugar and reduce the heat to a simmer. Simmer for five minutes, then strain into a cup and serve.
