Ingredients
- 680g cooking apples
- 1/4 pint water
- juice 1 lemon
- 340g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 113g butter
- pinch of ground ginger
Instructions
- cut apples and simmer in water & lemon juice until pulpy
- sieve
- add sugar eggs and butter
- cook gently until thickened -do not boil- add ginger then pot & cover
