Ingredients

  • Fish pie mix (tesco or similar - includes smoked haddock, cod or other white fish, and salmon)
  • Prawns
  • Leeks (to chop and surround fish in base of pie)
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Flour (Make gravy paste but and milk instead of stock!)
  • Salt and pepper (to season sauce before goes ontop of fish)
  • Add bay leaf to sauce and pie when transfer sauce
  • Could add splash white wine to sauce
  • Potatoes to mash
  • Cheese to grate on top

Instructions

  • Mix the leeks and fish/prawns together in the bottom of a pie dish/tray
  • Prepare sauce, fry off butter, add flour to get a paste, add milk to make a medium thickness sauce, add bay leave and then season
  • Pour sauce over fish
  • Put thick layer of mash ontop (the bottom layer will mix with the sauce) and sprinkle with grated cheese
  • Bake for 50mins or until cooked.
