In this comforting recipe, balsamic rice is cooked in flavorful homemade chicken stock with a fragrant touch of fresh basil. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup balsmati rice
  • 8 cup of chicken stock
  • 5 leaves of fresh basil
  • 1 medium egg
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • measure out half cup of rice and add the 8 cups of chicken stock, and a pinch of salt and simmer untill the rice done to soft
  • Add chopped basil leaves
  • When rice is done to taste . At the end pour in the partially beaten egg . Do not beat egg in . Stir once or twice only to move egg around the pan.
  • Serve.
  • May look like dishwater
  • do not be fooled !
