Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup clay pot cooking sauce
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Steamed rice for serving

Instructions

  • In a flameproof clay pot or saucepan over medium heat, warm the oil. Add the onion and garlic and sauté, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and translucent, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and cook, stirring, just until pink, about 1 minute. Add the clay pot cooking sauce, bring to a simmer and cook just until the shrimp are opaque, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve directly from the clay pot. Accompany with steamed rice. Serves 2 to 4.
