This classic Margarita recipe is a refreshing and citrusy cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. Ingredients

  • 3 oz. tequila blanco
  • 1 oz. Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup coarsely cracked ice
  • Coarse sea salt for coating rims of glasses
  • Several lime wedges

Instructions

  • Spread the salt on a small plate. Moisten the rims of two small tumblers or two margarita glasses with the lime wedge. One at a time, invert the glasses onto the plate to coat the rims, then shake off any excess salt. Fill the glasses with ice.
  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain into the prepared glasses and garnish each glass with a lime wheel. Serve immediately. Makes 2 drinks.
