Ingredients

  • 1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
  • 2 Tbs. simple syrup (see related recipe at left)
  • Crushed ice, as needed
  • 1/2 cup cachaça

Instructions

  • Divide the lime wedges and simple syrup between 2 low cocktail glasses. Using a muddler or the end of a spoon, stir vigorously, or muddle, to release all of the juice from the limes.
  • Fill each glass with some crushed ice and pour in the cachaça, dividing it evenly. Stir thoroughly and serve immediately. Serves 2.
